DataBlitz, Inc. is a franchise of gaming-related retail stores in the Philippines. It also operates digital stores on its website and through the e-commerce platforms Shopee and Lazada through PixelPlay.

About

DataBlitz opened its first store in the Philippines in 1995 at SM Centerpoint (now known as SM City Sta. Mesa) in Quezon City.[1]

It operated digital stores on the Philippine e-commerce platforms Shopee and Lazada through its affiliate store PixelPlay.

Dedicated e-commerce store

On March 2020, DataBlitz announced that it would close all of its Luzon branches due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.[2] On April 3, 2020, DataBlitz announced the launch of its dedicated e-commerce store on its website.[3]

Controversy

On November 5, 2012, the Philippine National Police's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), acting on the complaint filed by X-Play Online Games Inc., raided various DataBlitz establishments for selling unauthorized copies of NBA 2K13 in the country.
