DataBlitz opened its first store in the Philippines in 1995 at SM Centerpoint (now known as SM City Sta. Mesa) in Quezon City.[1]

Dedicated e-commerce store

On March 2020, DataBlitz announced that it would close all of its Luzon branches due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.[2] On April 3, 2020, DataBlitz announced the launch of its dedicated e-commerce store on its website.[3]

Controversy

On November 5, 2012, the Philippine National Police's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), acting on the complaint filed by X-Play Online Games Inc., raided various DataBlitz establishments for selling unauthorized copies of NBA 2K13 in the country.
