On January 12, 2008, Asian Media Development Group (AMDG) held a massive commercial launch event for Lineage II SEA. It was celebrated in two countries and five cities, four of which were in the Philippines. The main celebration was held at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Philippines.

The Lineage II SEA service was available in the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia. The commercial launch was celebrated in four cities across the Philippines, each in a major region, and one city in Malaysia for both Malaysian and Singaporean players.

• Visayas: Formo Bar at Banilad Town Center, Cebu City
• Mindanao: Boyztrek Internet Cafe at Jacinto Street, Davao City

• TEC Asia at Plaza Low Yat, Kuala Lumpur

The event was held to celebrate Lineage II SEA's commercial launch. Prior to the event, the game had been in free-play open beta for months. The main celebration was held in the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) venue. The event saw a combined 5,000 attendees in four venues.

The celebration in MOA saw various events and competitions, including a tournament, cosplay, and other activities. The same venue was also attended by Filipino bands such as Sugarfree, Paraluman, Top Junk, and Callalily, the latter of which played "Pasan", the official Philippine theme song of Lineage II SEA.

VIPs that attended the event include AMDG's Chairman Arturo B. Diago, Jr., AMDG's Chief Operating Officer Ronald Allan Aquino, and NCSoft representative Brian Kang.^[1]
