Barrio

Barrio is a Filipino song performed by the local band Powerspoonz. It is the theme song of the Ragnarok World Championship 2008, and is the second track in the 2008 Level Up! music album Live! The Album: Music of the Level Up! Nation.

Barrio is a song created by Powerspoonz in collaboration with Level Up! for Level Up! Live 2008. The 2008 Live event was special because it hosted the Ragnarok World Championship 2008 grand finals, an international tournament for Ragnarok Online where players from 12 different countries arrived in the Philippines to compete in that year's Ragnarok World Championship event.

After heard the opening riffs of Bakbakan, a recently-collaborated Powerspoonz song, Level Up! signed the band to create a nationalistic song for the Philippine team of the Ragnarok World Championship. In an interview with Level Up!, the Powerspoonz stated that between Barrio and Bakbakan, Barrio is more appropriate for the Ragnarok World Championship as the "beat was made for winners" and that the lyrics speak for themselves.^[1]

Barrio was first publicly performed and heard during the Level Up! Live 2008. It was included in the 2008 album Live! The Album: Music of the Level Up! Nation.

Both Bakbakan and Barrio were later re-released in Powerspoonz' 2012 album, "Inna Stereo".

The song was made available for purchase in 2009 through Level Up! Music portal for ₱25. Purchasing the song gave its buyer a raffle entry for a lottery of rare Ragnarok Online items.^[2]
