Infamous Perfect World Philippines Phoenix Council Wars 2026 semifinals premature celebration loss (Team AU throws a game against Sentinel)

Infamous Perfect World Philippines Phoenix Council Wars 2026 semifinals premature celebration loss (Team AU throws a game against Sentinel)

An infamous moment during the Perfect World Philippines Phoenix Council Wars 2026 semifinals match between Team AU and Sentinel, where Team AU threw a game after its players began prematurely celebrating and trash-talking Sentinel, only for the latter to win in the very last second.

In this first match of a best-of-three series, Team AU was leading by one kill against Sentinel with the match timer about to end. A higher kill score would give Team AU the win. With the match about to end, some of Team AU's players started letting their guards down and began celebrating and trash-talking the other team. This blunder let Sentinel steal a kill on the very last second of the match, equalizing the kill score. With both teams having equal kills, the victory goes to the team with the higher damage dealt, which was Sentinel.

Team AU would win the second match but lose the third match, making Sentinel one of the grand finalists.

The semifinals were held on June 27, 2026, at the MC3D Taft branch in Manila City, Philippines.

WarCraft III's Mountain King Avatar and DotA-Allstars' Black King Bar abilities

A video of WarCraft III's Avatar ability by the Mountain King unit. Whenever the ability is activated, a sound clip of the Mountain King screaming "For Khaz Modan!" is played. A modified version of this ability is used for the "Black King Bar" (BKB) item in the WarCraft III mod DotA-Allstars. Activating the BKB also plays the same sound file. The phrase "lakad matatag" was derived from that sound file as part of the internet café culture in the Philippines. "Lakad matatag" was later popularized in 2018 by the Filipino casting duo Marlon "Lon" Marcelo and the late Aldrin Paulo “Dunoo” Pangan.

Fight FAIR

One of history’s greatest lessons is the rules of warfare. However senseless or selfish the justifications are for initiating a war, there are guidelines to follow and limitations to adhere to when the fight begins. Such are the reasons for knighthood in medieval times and the ranking in the military – wars are fought by GENTLEMEN...
