Joshua allegedly drove past a checkpoint and shot at the pursuing police, which forced the latter to retaliate and kill him. Joshua's companion, 15-year-old Julius Sebastian , remains missing . This happened during the height of former Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte's brutal war on drugs.
