The Jollibee GameJoy Con was a Philippine launch event held by the fast food franchise Jollibee Philippines. It was held on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center Aura in Taguig City, Metro Manila. The event revealed Jollibee's partnership with game credit distributor UniPin and introduced the "GameJoy Combos" . The event was also controversial to the League of Legends: Wild Rift Philippine community, as an early teaser image was misunderstood as having a connection to Wild Rift.

Helldivers 2 forced Steam-PSN link controversy
In early May 2024, a major controversy occurred in the international gaming community when the popular cooperative game Helldivers 2 , published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and is available on Windows via Steam platform, announced that it would be requiring players to link their Steam accounts to PlayStation Network (PSN) accounts . Since the game's launch, linking Steam accounts to PSN was optional.
Ragnarok the Animation
Ragnarok the Animation is a 2004 Japanese-Korean anime series based on the South Korean MMORPG Ragnarok Online . It is comprised of a single season with 26 episodes. Due to the massive popularity of Ragnarok Online in the Philippines at that time, a locally-dubbed version of the anime was produced and broadcast under ABS-CBN network.

Grand Chase World Championship 2009 , also known as GCW 2009 , was an international tournament for the live-service action game Grand Chase . The event was held in Daegu, South Korea on December 29, 2009. Seven countries with three players each participated in the event, for a total of twenty-one players.
