Philippine Game Festival 2014
The Philippine Game Festival 2014 was a game development convention organized by the Game Developers Association of the Philippines (GDAP) and was held on Friday and Saturday, October 3 and 4, 2014, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, Philippines. The event's theme was "Live to Play". The event series was rebranded from a student-centric game development event into a more mainstream gaming convention.
Infinix Campus Cup 2025 (XCC 2025) Regional Grand Finals
The Infinix Campus Cup 2025 Regional Grand Finals , also known as XCC 2025 Regional Grand Finals , was a Southeast Asian collegiate on-ground tournament for Mobile Legends held in the Philippines. It was held on July 6, 2025, at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, Metro Manila. Five teams attended to represent their countries, with the Philippines represented by NU (New University) Bulldogs. The champion, NU Bulldogs, had a perfect run, winning every game.
Pinoy Gamers
Pinoy Gamers was a weekly console-based Filipino video game television show that aired on the Makisig Network (Sky Cable channel 76). It was organized by Gamehopper in collaboration with online Filipino gaming communities Pinoy Xbox, Pinoy-N, and PinoyPS.com. The show is no longer in production.
2012 CIDG raid of DataBlitz
On November 5, 2012, the Philippine National Police's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) , acting on a complaint filed by Philippine video game distributor X-Play Online Games Inc. , conducted raids on multiple DataBlitz establishments in Metro Manila due to the sale of unauthorized, gray market copies of NBA 2K13. At the time, X-Play had received the license from Take-Two Interactive, NBA 2K13's publisher, to distribute the game in the Philippines.
2015 DotA Internet Café Ban of Barangay Salawag, Cavite
On January 5, 2015, a government resolution banning the MOBA DotA from internet cafés was passed on Barangay Salawag in Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines . It was passed after incidents of DotA-related gambling and violence were reported.

On June 30, 2026, the Philippine's Philippine Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center's (CICC) enforced a temporary ban on the sandbox game Gorebox after it linked one of the suspects of the recent Tacloban school shooting incident to the game.

Wonderful Life (Mi Oh My) is an original motion picture soundtrack performed by Australian musician Leslie Green and produced by Norwegian DJ Matoma. It was used in The Angry Birds Movie, a film adaptation of the video game of the same name. An official cover version performed by Filipina singer Yeng Constantino was produced by Warner Brothers in partnership with Star Music Philippines.
