US visa denial of Philippine representatives for BlizzCon's North American Hearthstone Qualifiers 2014
In September 2014, two Hearthstone Philippine representatives for the BlizzCon North American LAN Qualifiers, Chalk "Chalk" Zaldivar and Euniel "Staz" Javiñas, were denied US Visas that prevented them from participating in the US$250,000 BlizzCon Hearthstone World Championship.

The Philippines celebration was held on the weekend of June 29 and 30, 2024, at the Chapter Coffee Roastery and Cafe Inc. in UP Town Center, Diliman, Quezon City, Metro Manila.

Saurnament 2024's controversial emote disqualification
On June 1, 2024, during the Saurnament 2024 League of Legends (LoL) Philippine tournament , West Point Esports Academy was disqualified after one of its players automatically triggered an emote against Viridis Arcus Esports' member Defile. The tournament has a rule that forbids the use of emotes. The incident became controversial in both the Philippine League of Legends and Wild Rift communities.
