Tech INQ (Esports by INQUIRER.net)

Tech INQ, formerly known as Esports by INQUIRER.net (and previously stylized as eSports) and Esports INQ, is the gaming and tech news section of the Filipino news website INQUIRER.net.

History

Establishment

The partnership between Inquirer and the Philippine Esports Organization was announced on the second day of the first International eSports Federation (IeSF) Asian championships[1], which was held from September 12 to 14, 2014, at SM City Cebu Tradehall in Cebu City, Philippines.[2]

Initially an esports-centric section, it eventually started to report on general gaming and technology topics throughout the years.

Rebranding to Tech INQ

On February 19, 2026, the official Facebook page of Esports INQ announced that it was rebranding itself into Tech INQ "to better reflect its direction".[3]
