Pokémon Fun Day
Pokémon Fun Day is a series of Pokémon event activities by the Philippine shopping mall chain SM Supermalls in partnership with The Pokémon Company. It will be held in various SM shopping mall branches in the Philippines from January through October 2025.[1]
About
Event
The participating mall's event center establishes a Pokémon-themed venue where mallgoers can demo Pokémon video games on the Nintendo Switch, purchase Pokémon-related merchandise (T-shirts, plushies, toys, Funko Pops), and participate in tutorial sessions for Pokémon TCG. Costumed Pikachu "meet-and-greet" photo ops are available on designated schedules.
Launch
A press launch event was held on its first day on January 31, 2025, in SM North EDSA. It was attended by Animation International Philippines' Director Tsutomu Kondo, RUNRIO Inc. President Rio Dela Cruz, The Pokémon Company Asia's Business Development Corporate Officer Susumu Fukunaga, and SM Supermalls' Vice President of Marketing Joaquin L. San Agustin. Dela Cruz of RUNRIO Inc. promoted the Pokémon Run Philippines 2025 which was held the following month.
Schedule
SM Supermalls posted the initial schedule in January 2025. A new schedule was posted on March 26, 2025, which swapped the dates of SM Taytay, SM Angono, and SM East Ortigas.
Each SM Supermall holds the event for around 15 days. Most of the malls in Luzon are in Metro Manila, and all of them are in the Greater Manila Area.
