MPL Philippines Season 15
The MPL Philippines Season 15 is a Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines season that ran from February 28th until May 4th, 2025. The playoffs were held from May 28 to June 1, 2025, at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati, Metro Manila. The tournament had a prize pool of US$150,000.
The top 2 winners of the tournament, Team Liquid PH and ONIC Philippines, qualified for the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2025, which will be held on July 23, 2025, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
During the event, Infinix announced that the GT 30 Pro would be the official tournament phone for MPL PH Season 16.
Medal controversy
The tournament was praised for its improved trophy design. However, it was also controversial due to the use of acrylic medals, which were perceived as a downgrade from the previous seasons. The medals were widely mocked as being equivalent to those awarded in amateur competitions such as school and inter-barangay tournaments.
Current and former players, including Danerie "Wise" Rosario, expressed concerns about the situation, emphasizing that medals are more valuable to players because they will keep their medals after they leave their teams or retire. In contrast, the trophies are kept by the team organizations.
