It was published in the Philippines by Level Up! from 2006 until 2014. A SEA version was launched by PlayPark and ran from 2018 until 2022.

The game was the last active title in Level Up!'s roster that was originally published by netGames before its merge in 2006.

History

Philippine server

FlyFF is one of the live service games that was originally published by netGames before its merge with Level Up! in 2006. It was launched commercially at the Multimedia Masters Meet Mania event on March 4 and 5, 2006. It is one of the first MMORPGs in the country to utilize the free-to-play business model.

On July 25, 2014, Level Up! announced that FlyFF would be ceasing operations on September 1, 2014. The game's registration was disabled on July 25, and the conversion of LU credits to FlyFF coupons was disabled on July 31. All item mall items were made available for free until its closure on September 1.[note 1] It is the last netGames title to cease operations under Level Up!

SEA server

A SEA version was published under PlayPark. It ran from 2018 until 2022. On December 2023, PlayPark became a distributor for FlyFF Universe, a browser-based, improved version of FlyFF.

Music

Two original Filipino songs were made based on FlyFF. "Intercept" by Sponge Cola from the 2007 music album Level Up! The Album , and "Talo" by Mayonnaise from the 2008 album Live! The Album: Music of the Level Up! Nation.
