Audition Dance Battle Philippines

Audition Dance Battle Philippines, also known as Audition Philippines, was an official Audition Online service that ran in the Philippines from 2006 until 2018, when it was succeeded by the Audition Next Level service. It was initially published by E-Games in 2006, and the latest publisher to handle it was PlayPark by 2018.

History

E-Games to Level Up!: 2006-2014

Audition Philippines was initially published in the country under E-Games in 2006. An on-ground commercial launch was held on November 18 and 19, 2006, as part of the Hataw! Hanep! Hero 2006 anniversary event at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City.[1]

In 2008, the game was placed in the game roster of X-Play (a sister brand of E-Games for casual games).

In 2012, E-Games was merged with competing publisher Level Up!. Audition was one of the games from E-Games' roster that Level Up! continued to service.

Asiasoft's Level Up! to PlayPark: 2014-2018

In 2014, Level Up! was acquired by Asiasoft Corporation. Asiasoft continued to market Audition Philippines under Level Up! until the Level Up! brand was phased out in favor of the PlayPark brand.

In October 2017, PlayPark announced Club Audition Next Level, a newer service for the game with an improved game client. The new service would have everyone's levels and ranks reset. However, Philippine players were allowed to migrate certain items from the Audition Philippine service into the Audition Next Level service.[2]

In March 2018, Audition Dance Battle Philippines was rebranded into "Club Audition" in preparation for the Next Level launch.[3] The service was rebranded again to "Audition Next Level" by the time it was launched in May 2018.

Music

In 2009, a music album entitled Audition Dance Battle: Dance Album was released by Philippine-based Bellhaus Entertainment.
